BIO
Trained for both, stage and screen, Marcus Brandon has played roles in a variety of productions from Shakespeare to August Wilson. He has built a foundation that has him ready and willing to be catapulted into dozens of contract/recurring roles for daytime and primetime TV. He’s also going to stop referring to himself in third person because, you know, I’m writing this myself.
Here’s the deal – I’m just a down-to-earth-guy from Tennessee. After transporting to Washington D.C., I started taking screenwriting classes at Georgetown University to become an active screenwriter & playwright. In 2012, I relocated to New York City, where I pioneered my development as an actor with renown acting coach Anthony Abeson.
Here’s my recent work – “New York 2150”, directed by Harry Assouline. It’s a sci-fi where I play a bad-mother-shut-yo-mouth-intergalactic bounty hunter in the year 2150! If my calculations are correct, I only have 100+ years to make it happen in real life.
Hear’s a secret about me – I use to be an ethical hacker. Yeah, former Information Security Professional of the World, y’all! Now you’re probably saying to yourself, “What?”. Trust me, it’s a great story. When we meet, ask me and I’ll tell you all about how I became the Fresh Prince of cyber security.
Here’s what matters – I’m a life enthusiast…I’m disciplined & devoted…I’m your next leading man. Some of my favorite roles have been performing as the lead in “Othello” a tragedy by William Shakespeare and as Carter Shelton in the stage play “The Stella” directed by Frank Senger. My diverse upbringing (living in trailer-parks, low-income housing, surburbs, Kentucky, Tennessee, Germany) adds to my foundation and ability to connect with multiple roles. The universe resonates within me. Every story I ever heard, every experience I ever had, has led me to become an actor. I’m looking forward to working in the next Emmy Award series or in a feature as a Super Hero!
